Sixty Cent Main Event project moves to fourth trade exchange

Readers may recall our story last month about Casino City reporter Aaron Todd and his project to "trade up" in a series of barters starting with a 60 cent online poker check in order to gain a $10 000 World Series of Poker Main Event seat before applications close for the July competition.

This week Todd reported the successful completion of his fourth trade exchange which leaves him in possession of a limited edition Super Bowl XXXVI football signed by Adam Vinatieri. Todd earlier traded his 60 cent PKR Poker cheque for a stack of Golden Palace souvenir chips, converting those into fragments of the childhood home of reggae singer Jimi Hendrix.

In his latest report, Todd reveals that Josh DiPietro, a sales manager for Herb Chambers Dodge in Danvers, Mass., wanted the pieces of the house as a gift to his unborn son. His father was a big Jimi Hendrix fan, but unfortunately, he never got to meet his grandchildren (Josh also has an 18-month old daughter). He died in a boating accident five years ago.

"I just thought it would be something he'd love to have," Josh said. "Thinking of some of his songs brings me back to some of the good days and good memories."

The man who signed the football, Adam Vinatieri, made a number of memorable field goals for the New England Patriots, and kicked the game-winning field goal Super Bowl XXXVI as time expired.

In pursuit of his World Series of Poker Main Event goal (the competition starts on July 6) Todd launched a special and entertaining website at www.sixtycentmainevent.com, detailing his moves to date.
